The X-Frame aluminum railed frame is designed for double-column 9mm capacity while preserving familiar 1911-like ergonomics. It uses durable 7075-T6 aluminum alloy and integrates an enlarged magazine funnel at the frame heel. G10 starburst grip panels with Wilson medallions and an interchangeable backstrap provide a secure, customizable grip.
The 4-inch stainless steel barrel is a bushingless cone design with fluting on the barrel and chamber, and a flush-fit muzzle. The slide features a tri-top profile with top serrations, front and rear X-TAC cocking serrations, and an external extractor. A Wilson Custom Gun test target documenting a 15-yard benchrest group is included.
Sight configuration pairs a green fiber-optic front with a Wilson Battlesight rear that is serrated and secured by a dovetail set screw. The rear sight is marked with the Wilson logo and "PATENT PENDING."
Controls include a single-action, hammer-fired system with a skeletonized Commander-style hammer, a curved trigger with a serrated face and lightening hole, a left-side magazine release, and an ambidextrous manual thumb safety. Capacity is 18+1, and this example includes both 18-round and 15-round factory magazines. Documentation includes a Wilson Combat Quality Control Checklist dated November 7, 2019.
