It remains in very good overall condition with an excellent, mirror-bright bore, and wears aftermarket Pachmayr Gripper finger-groove stocks with S&W medallions.

The stainless barrel has a partial underlug/ejector-rod shroud and a serrated top rib. Sight regulation is handled by a ramped front sight paired with a micrometer-adjustable rear sight, providing a precise iron-sight setup.
Its action is double-action/single-action with an exposed hammer featuring a wide, checkered spur, and a smooth-faced trigger. The cylinder has non-recessed charge holes and matches the brushed/satin stainless finish of the frame and barrel.
