Mauser Mod. 98 Sporterized Bolt-Action Rifle, 7.92x57mm, WWII-Era German Receiver, 23.62 in Barrel, Walnut Sporter Stock
This sporterized Mauser Mod. 98 pairs a WWII-era German military receiver with a clean, practical American sporter configuration. It retains the German eagle acceptance mark and the hallmark Mauser 98 controlled-round-feed action, then adds an aftermarket walnut stock with a raised cheekpiece, white-line spacers, and a Fajen-marked ribbed buttplate. A 23.62-inch blued steel barrel, internal 5+1 magazine, and installed two-piece receiver scope base blocks round out a useful and collectible build in 7.92x57mm Mauser.

Built on a German Mod. 98 military receiver, this rifle retains the core Mauser 98 features: controlled-round feed, a large external claw extractor, dual front locking lugs with a third safety lug, and a gas-shielded bolt shroud. The receiver ring bears the German eagle acceptance mark, and the military-style serial includes the suffix "g."
The rifle has been converted into a classic American sporter layout. The walnut stock features a raised cheekpiece, a contrasting black fore-end tip with a white-line spacer, and screw-in sling-swivel studs. A Fajen-marked black ribbed buttplate with a white-line spacer and a 14.0-inch length of pull complete the stock work.
The blued steel barreled action uses a 23.62-inch barrel. Sighting is via a ramp front sight with a small bead, and no open rear sight is present. Two-piece receiver scope base blocks are installed on the action.
Chambered in 7.92x57mm Mauser, the rifle uses Mauser-pattern bottom metal and an internal staggered-column box magazine with a 5+1 capacity. The steel receiver and traditional Mauser layout emphasize strength and smooth feeding suitable for a sporter build.
