What’s Included
- F.lli Pietta 1851 Navy .44 caliber black powder revolver
The revolver follows the open-top Colt-pattern layout with a brass frame, brass trigger guard, and brass backstrap paired to a 5-inch round blued steel barrel. The loading lever and hammer display color case-hardened finishes, preserving the period-correct look.
It uses a single-action percussion system with an under-barrel loading lever, plunger rammer, and front catch. A screw-retained barrel wedge enters from the right side, in line with traditional design practice.
The six-shot blued steel cylinder is left unengraved, offering a clean profile instead of the typical naval scene. Fixed sights consist of a small brass blade up front and a hammer-notch rear. Capacity is six rounds.
Markings include Italian proof marks such as the PN black-powder proof and boxed Italian date/proof cartouche, along with F.lli Pietta’s FAP logo and "F.LLI PIETTA – MADE IN ITALY." The one-piece Navy-style walnut grip completes the classic configuration.
