The Daniel Defense DDM4 M4A1 pairs a 14.5 in cold hammer forged CMV barrel (pin and weld to 16+ in) with the proven M4A1 RIS II quad rail in FDE. It features an M4A1-marked upper with SAFE/SEMI selector legends, a carbine-length gas system, and black Type III hardcoat anodized receivers. The free-float RIS II uses the DD six-bolt bolt-up system and carries T-marked, continuous top Picatinny rail with NSN/P/N-style markings for easy reference.

This M4A1 configuration centers on a 14.5 in chrome-moly-vanadium steel barrel that is cold hammer forged with a 1:7 twist. An open-prong flash hider is pinned and welded, bringing the overall barrel length to 16+ in while preserving the underlying threaded muzzle.
The handguard is the Daniel Defense M4A1 RIS II quad rail in FDE, measuring 12.25 in. It is free-floated and secured with the DD six-bolt bolt-up system. The top Picatinny rail is continuous and T-marked, and the rail shows NSN/P/N-style markings. Polymer rail covers are installed for a secure, comfortable interface.
Receivers are aluminum alloy with a black Type III hardcoat anodized finish, creating a two-tone look against the FDE rail. The upper is M4A1-marked and the selector legends read SAFE/SEMI. Controls include a manual safety selector, a collapsible polymer stock, and a textured polymer AR grip.
The carbine-length gas system supports reliable cycling, and the rifle weighs approximately 6.74 lb in factory configuration. Overall length is approximately 31.4–34.75 in. No sights or optics are installed, leaving the quad rail and top rail open for the user’s preferred setup. Capacity is 30+1 with the included magazine.
This rifle is finished in black with the contrasting FDE RIS II rail, combining a durable hardcoat anodized receiver set with a proven, free-float rail system designed for accessory mounting and repeatable positioning.
