Manufactured by A. Uberti for Cimarron, this Lightning pairs a steel, color case-hardened frame with a blued barrel and cylinder for a traditional two-tone finish. The six-shot, six-flute rimfire cylinder and single-action mechanism stay true to the classic format while offering economical .22 LR chambering.
The 4.75 in steel barrel carries an under-barrel ejector-rod housing with a knurled button. Sighting is straightforward and sturdy, with a fixed blade front and a fixed notch rear integral to the frame/topstrap.
This example uses the smokeless-style frame with a transverse spring-loaded crosspin/latch retaining the base pin. Its elongated cylinder base pin acts as a hammer-block safety, adding a practical layer of mechanical security without altering the revolver's traditional manual of arms.
Ergonomics are anchored by a one-piece walnut birdshead grip set with a Cimarron medallion. Importer and maker rollmarks are present on the top of the barrel, reflecting its Cimarron provenance and Uberti manufacture in Italy.
