The 1895 GBL pairs Marlin's classic lever-action design with a compact 18-inch round, blued carbon-steel barrel and an unthreaded crowned muzzle. It runs a right-side loading gate with side ejection and a large big-loop lever, and it carries a full-length 6+1 tubular magazine in .45-70 Govt.
Sighting is handled by an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear and a ramped front blade. The receiver is drilled and tapped and currently fitted with a receiver-top one-piece scope base and Leupold 1-inch rings for straightforward scope mounting.
The rifle uses an exposed hammer with a screw-on hammer spur extension and a cross-bolt safety. The receiver and barrel are carbon steel with a matte/satin blued finish for a classic, low-glare appearance.
Furniture is a brown laminated hardwood pistol-grip stock set with checkering, a black grip cap, and a rubber recoil pad. Sling-swivel studs are installed and fitted with a camo neoprene-padded sling with quick-detach swivels.
This example is Remington-era Ilion, NY production with an MR-prefix serial and barrel date code "AN," indicating manufacture in 2019. It was made in the United States.
