Built in 1932, this pre-WWII commercial Government Model shows defining period details: a blued carbon-steel finish with polished flats and matte rounds, a 5-inch barrel, and commercial markings including a frame marked "GOVERNMENT MODEL," a commercial slide address, and "COLT AUTOMATIC CALIBRE .45."
The pistol follows the 1911A1 pattern with vertical rear slide serrations, a lowered and relieved ejection port, and an unmodified magazine well. It uses a single-action, short-recoil, locked-breech system and features a wide spur hammer.
Target-focused components include an adjustable rear target sight paired with a tall front blade, plus a ventilated match-style trigger with three lightening holes. A bridge-style top mount marked NPC with two unmarked rings is installed.
Current grip configuration is mixed: the right panel is wood with a Colt medallion, and the left panel is black checkered synthetic. Grip tape is applied to the mainspring housing/backstrap. Capacity is 7+1, and two 7-round magazines are included.
