The Echelon 4.5F uses Springfield Armory’s VIS (Variable Interface System) direct-mount optics interface, machined into the slide with a multi-hole pattern to accommodate popular footprints without bulky adapter plates. Deep front and rear serrations provide positive slide manipulation, and the Springfield Armory crest is engraved on the slide top.
Its 4.5 in hammer-forged steel barrel is Melonite-treated for corrosion resistance and durability, paired with a 1:10 twist for standard 9mm loads. The barrel is non-threaded for a clean, duty-length profile.
The serialized COG chassis serves as the firearm’s core, enabling modularity within the Echelon series. Controls are modern and user-friendly, featuring a fully ambidextrous slide stop and a reversible magazine release. A flat-faced trigger and trigger safety are standard.
Ergonomics are anchored by a black polymer frame with Adaptive Grip Texture and interchangeable backstraps to fine-tune fit. A 4-slot 1913 Picatinny accessory rail supports common lights and lasers. U-Dot iron sights combine a high-visibility front dot with a U-notch rear outlined in white for fast alignment.
