What’s Included
- Armi San Marco factory cardboard box with fitted foam insert and factory label (1858 Remington Steel .44)
Built as a faithful Armi San Marco (ASM) reproduction, this 1858 Remington Steel follows the New Model Army pattern with a solid topstrap frame, unfluted six-shot cylinder, and an under-barrel loading lever secured by a front latch. It is a single-action percussion design intended for black powder use only.
Construction is all-steel where it counts: barrel, frame, and cylinder are steel with a uniform blued finish. A color case-hardened hammer and a brass trigger guard add period-correct contrast. Smooth hardwood grip panels complete the traditional look and feel.
The revolver uses fixed sights—a front post and a rear notch in the topstrap—mirroring the original configuration. The 8 in octagonal barrel provides a long sighting plane and houses the loading lever assembly beneath.
Italian proof and inspection stamps appear on the steel frame just ahead of the brass trigger guard, confirming its origin and compliance. This model is out of production, making it a desirable example for those seeking an ASM-made, steel-frame rendition of the Remington New Model Army.
