The Super Redhawk Alaskan pairs a compact 2.5-inch barrel with Ruger’s robust Super Redhawk action. All major components are stainless steel with a satin finish, and the barrel is cold hammer-forged with a 1:20" right-hand twist and six-groove rifling.
This DA/SA revolver uses Ruger’s transfer-bar safety and a triple-locking cylinder for secure lockup. Capacity is six rounds, and it chambers .44 Magnum while also accepting .44 Special. As an Alaskan-variant feature, the topstrap does not have integral scope-ring cuts.
Sighting is straightforward and durable: an adjustable rear is paired with a pinned ramp front. An SDM gold-bead front sight blade is installed, and the original Ruger factory front blade is included.
Ergonomics come from the factory Hogue Tamer rubber Monogrip with finger grooves, and a Hogue One Piece Revolver Stock in exotic hardwood is included in the package (not installed).
