This New England Firearms Pardner Model SB1 is a limited Ducks Unlimited Greenwing edition with a receiver rollmark and an inlaid Greenwing medallion in the stock. It is a U.S.-made, single-shot break-action 20 gauge with a 25.5 inch barrel and a 3 inch chamber. The blued barrel and matte silver/gray receiver provide a clean, two-tone look, and the receiver cites Gardner, Massachusetts production along with U.S. Patent No. 3,988,848.
Built with an external spur hammer and a transfer-bar safety, this SB1 follows NEF’s straightforward, durable design. It uses an extractor at the breech (not an ejector) and carries a capacity of one round. Sighting is simple and practical with a brass front bead and no rear sight.
The barrel is configured with a fixed Modified choke and no rib, giving it a dependable field setup. The 3 inch chamber offers flexibility with a range of 20 gauge loads. Handling is aided by a 14.0 inch length of pull.
Hardwood furniture includes a straight-comb, pistol-grip stock capped by a black hard-plastic buttplate, paired with a slim, uncheckered hardwood forend. The Ducks Unlimited Greenwing receiver marking and stock medallion set this example apart within the Pardner SB1 line.
