This first-generation S&W Bodyguard 380 stands out for its integral Insight laser module built into the dustcover, pairing a micro-size .380 ACP platform with on-board aiming capability. It is a DAO pistol with second-strike capability, a frame-mounted manual safety, and a loaded chamber indicator. The stainless slide and barrel wear a durable Melonite finish, and this example comes with two factory 6-round magazines, a soft case, and an Uncle Mike's Sidekick pocket holster.
The integral Insight laser features ambidextrous round activation buttons, user-adjustable windage and elevation, and an auto-off timer. External controls include a slide stop, takedown lever, and frame-mounted safety. The pistol is capable of firing with the magazine removed.
Construction is purpose-built for everyday carry: a stainless slide and barrel with black Melonite finish, a black polymer frame, and rear cocking serrations for secure manipulation. Fixed, low-profile open sights (front blade, rear notch) keep the top profile streamlined.
Operation is double-action-only with second-strike capability. The 2.75-inch barrel and unloaded weight of approximately 11.85 ounces deliver a compact footprint, while the 6+1 capacity and included factory magazines with finger-rest baseplates provide a secure hold and practical carry setup.

Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.
