The CROSS action uses a one-piece aluminum receiver paired with a three-lug bolt and a 60-degree throw for fast, smooth cycling. A large cylindrical, grooved bolt knob enhances control, and the right-side thumb safety sits just above the SIG SAUER polymer AR-style pistol grip. The rifle wears a black finish and is marked with factory rollmarks including 'CROSS' and 'SIG SAUER INC NEWINGTON, NH USA.'
The 16-inch stainless-steel barrel is free-floating with a 1:10 twist for .308 Win and is threaded 5/8x24. It is paired with an aluminum free-float M-LOK handguard that includes a short forward Picatinny segment with the orange 'CROSS' badge. A full-length Picatinny rail runs the receiver for mounting day scopes or other optics as needed.
The skeletonized folding precision stock folds for transport and adjusts for length of pull, cheek height, and buttpad height. A rear bag-rider extension supports stable prone or bench shooting. The two-stage match trigger is adjustable from approximately 2.5 to 4 lb, allowing the user to tailor the break to preference.
This rifle feeds from AICS-pattern detachable magazines and includes both 10-round and 5-round Magpul PMAG AICS magazines for 7.62x51. Capacity is 10+1.
