Product Description

Ruger Single-Six Old Model Three-Screw .22 Rimfire Revolver, 6.5 in Barrel, Blued, 1968

This 1968 Ruger Single-Six Old Model (Three-Screw) stands out for its classic pre-transfer-bar action, 6.5 inch barrel, and clean, well-preserved condition. It features the period-correct Southport, Conn. barrel address, blued steel barrel and cylinder with an in-the-white hammer and a blued trigger, and the desirable six-shot fluted cylinder. It is also eligible for Ruger's free factory transfer-bar safety retrofit.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Excellent condition, showing only faint signs of any prior use or handling.

Bore Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.

Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.

Specific Condition Notes: There are light handling scratches on the barrel. The revolver appears very well maintained for its 1968 manufacture.

    What's Included

    • Ruger Single-Six instructions and parts list
    • Ruger factory-fitted spare cylinder for Single-Six in red felt pouch and Ruger-labeled box
    • Unbranded white grip panels (pair)
    • Ruger two-piece factory box

Built on the Old Model three-screw frame, this Single-Six is a full-size, single-action-only revolver chambered in .22 Rimfire with a six-shot fluted cylinder. The 6.5 inch barrel and fixed-sight layout (front blade, topstrap notch rear) deliver the traditional Single-Six sight picture.

Construction is period-correct: blued steel barrel and cylinder, aluminum-alloy grip frame and ejector housing, and a round/button (bullseye) ejector-rod head. The hammer remains in-the-white, while the trigger is blued, providing the classic Old Model contrast against the polished blue.

Factory smooth walnut grip panels with Ruger eagle medallions complete the traditional look and feel. The barrel carries the Southport, Conn. address, and the revolver was manufactured in the United States during the 1960s era.

This Old Model predates Ruger's transfer-bar system and is eligible for the company's free factory transfer-bar safety retrofit, offering an optional update while preserving the revolver's core character. The package is rounded out with a Ruger factory-fitted spare cylinder and the original-style two-piece Ruger box, plus the factory instructions and parts list.
