The action is double-action/single-action with a smooth-faced trigger and an exposed spurred hammer. Sighting is straightforward and durable, with a serrated ramp front sight and an integral top-strap groove rear.

Factory markings include the barrel rollmark "PIT BULL 9mm" and the right-side barrel/shroud rollmark "CHARTER ARMS • SHELTON, CT • MADE IN USA." The factory case label denotes model 79920 and the 2-inch stainless, spurred-hammer configuration.
