The 471 Silver Hawk uses 28-inch blued side-by-side barrels made from Beretta's Excelsior high-strength alloy steel, assembled with the laser-fused monobloc Beretta Block construction for durability and precise regulation. A solid rib runs the length of the barrels. Chambers accept both 2 3/4-inch and 3-inch 12-gauge shells.
This shotgun is built on a break-action boxlock with a single trigger. A tang-mounted safety and barrel selector provide intuitive controls. The gun uses automatic selective ejectors.
Stocked in walnut with an English straight grip and fine checkering, the gun includes a matching splinter forend with a diamond-shaped inlay and a fitted recoil pad. Length of pull measures 15.0 inches, offering a longer factory dimension that suits many field and clays applications.
The coin-finished steel receiver carries factory floral scroll engraving, and the top lever is inlaid with a gold hawk's head. Italian proof marks (including PSF and PB-in-oval) are present, along with the P. Beretta – Made in Italy legend and Beretta U.S.A. import mark from Accokeek, MD. Interchangeable chokes are included: two Modified, two Light Modified, one Improved Cylinder, one Cylinder, and one Skeet.
