The X-Bolt 2 action uses a 60-degree bolt lift for fast cycling and scope clearance, and adds a bolt unlock button so the action can be opened with the safety engaged. The spiral-fluted bolt body and teardrop bolt knob provide a smooth, positive feel.
The DLX trigger is a single-stage, user-adjustable design that promotes a crisp break. A two-position tang safety with a red fire indicator places control where the shooter naturally rests the thumb.
The 22-inch sporter-contour steel barrel and 1:8 twist are well-suited to common 6.5 Creedmoor bullet lengths. The receiver is matte blued steel and is drilled and tapped for Browning X-Lock bases with four screws per base. The factory configuration has no open sights.
The Hunter variant is defined by its Grade 1 satin walnut stock with cut checkering, a black recoil pad, and sling swivel studs. Length of pull is set at 13.0 inches for a traditional hunting rifle fit.
