This Howa Model 1500 in 6.5 Creedmoor is a competition-configured build centered on a Masterpiece Arms MPA BA Competition aluminum chassis with GrayOps CNC side weights and an MPA rear weight system. It pairs a free-floated 24 inch heavy-contour, threaded barrel with a Timney Howa trigger and an oversized bolt knob for precise, repeatable control. An MDT 20-MOA Picatinny scope base is installed, and the rifle uses a detachable AICS-pattern magazine system. Made in Japan and imported by Legacy Sports International.

The MPA BA Competition chassis delivers a stable, adjustable foundation with an aluminum forend and integrated bag rider. The stock is set up with an adjustable cheek piece, adjustable buttpad, and a vertical pistol grip with a textured wrap. Length of pull is adjustable and set at 13.25 inches.
Competition-oriented mass is added where it matters. GrayOps CNC side weights on the forend and the MPA rear weight system provide a balanced, PRS-style configuration that tracks consistently on barricades and bags.
The barreled action is a Howa 1500 in 6.5 Creedmoor with a 24 inch heavy-contour barrel that is free-floated for consistency. The muzzle is threaded and fitted with a thread protector. The steel receiver cycles with an oversized bolt knob for positive manipulation. The rifle is made in Japan and imported by Legacy Sports International, Reno, NV.
A Timney Howa trigger is installed for a clean, predictable break. Up top, an MDT 20-MOA Picatinny scope base is installed for extended elevation travel. The forend includes a Picatinny rail section at the top-front for mounting accessories; the underside is smooth with longitudinal slots and no Picatinny section installed.
The rifle feeds from a detachable AICS-pattern magazine system and includes a 5-round Magpul PMAG 7.62 AC polymer magazine, giving a 5+1 capacity. This setup is tailored for practical precision match use while remaining straightforward and dependable.
