This Pardner is a single-shot, break-action 12 gauge with a top-lever positioned behind the exposed hammer, making operation straightforward and positive. It uses a transfer-bar safety, and the receiver is rollmarked with U.S. Patent No. 3,988,848 relating to that system. Spent shells are cleared by automatic ejection after opening.
The 24-inch plain round barrel is paired with a front bead for fast indexing. This is an open bore shotgun with no choke constriction and no chokes installed. The chamber is 3 inches, accommodating a wide range of 12-gauge 2-3/4 in and 3 in loads.
Construction highlights include a case-colored receiver and blued barrel. Furniture consists of a slim hardwood fore-end retained by a single screw and a hardwood pistol-grip stock in a walnut tone, finished with a black NEF logo buttplate. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches.
Capacity is 1 round. The underside of the frame is stamped with a "P" proof/inspection mark. This U.S.-made Pardner presents with clean lines and classic field features in a practical, lightweight configuration.
