The M&P15-22 Sport mirrors familiar AR-15 controls, including a functional bolt catch and last-round hold-open, making it intuitive for training and recreational use. Polymer upper and lower receivers keep weight down while retaining AR-style ergonomics. The carbine receiver extension pairs with a 6-position collapsible stock for adjustable fit; selector is marked SAFE/FIRE.
The 16.5 inch carbon steel barrel is threaded 1/2x28 and fitted with an A2 flash suppressor. A 1:15 twist rate is purpose-built for .22 LR. The rifle operates via a semi-automatic blowback system.
A slim M-LOK polymer handguard provides attachment slots for accessories, while a continuous Picatinny top rail runs from the receiver across the handguard for flexible mounting. The lower features a molded M&P 15-22 logo, and the rifle includes an A2-style polymer pistol grip.
Optics are ready to go with the factory Smith & Wesson MP-100 red/green dot sight mounted on an M&P riser. The red/green illuminated reticle offers quick target acquisition on the continuous top rail.
Capacity is 25+1 with the included factory 25-round magazine. Additional touches include an AR-15 style brass deflector and a manual safety. This USA-made rifle is finished in black throughout.
