Built from quality components, this pistol uses a Federal Ordnance 1911 frame mated to a Colt Combat Commander 9mm slide/upper. The slide is marked "COMBAT COMMANDER COLT 9MM LUGER CALIBER" with the Rampant Colt logo and "COLT’S COMBAT COMMANDER MODEL," while the barrel hood is marked "CAL. 9MM. LUGER."
The Commander-length 4.25-inch barrel and slide keep the gun compact while retaining the traditional short-recoil system. It uses a standard recoil guide with a checkered recoil spring plug, and the slide features rear-only vertical serrations.
Controls and operating features are classic 1911: single-action-only operation with a thumb safety and grip safety, a short, solid trigger with a serrated face, and a rowel hammer. Fixed sights include a staked ramp front and a square-notch rear.
The upper is finished in blued steel, paired with a matte gray/blue frame for a purposeful two-tone look. Aftermarket wraparound checkered rubber grips, with "Signature Model" script on the right panel, provide a firm, full-hand hold.
Chambered in 9mm Luger, the stated capacity is 8+1 using the included single-stack 8-round magazine. This configuration offers a Commander-format 1911 experience in a widely available caliber.
