This Serbian-made Zastava ZPAPM70 stands out as a well-configured AK-pattern rifle with quality Yugo-pattern features and thoughtful upgrades. It uses a stamped receiver with an RPK-style bulged front trunnion and a 16.3 in threaded barrel capped by a multi-chamber pronged muzzle brake. Custom furniture includes a Mission First Tactical adjustable stock on an AR-style tube, a black aluminum M-LOK two-piece handguard with short top rail sections, and an orange textured polymer pistol grip. It comes with one 30-round Magpul PMAG and is importer-marked by Zastava Arms USA, Des Plaines, IL.
Built on the proven long-stroke gas piston system with a rotating bolt, this ZPAPM70 delivers the classic M70 configuration in 7.62x39. The stamped steel receiver paired with the bulged front trunnion reflects Zastava’s robust Yugo-pattern construction. Factory markings include "MDL: ZPAPM70 CAL 7.62X39MM," and the rifle is marked "ZASTAVA ARMS USA DES PLAINES IL" for import.
The 16.3 in barrel is threaded and currently fitted with a multi-chamber, pronged muzzle brake. The aluminum M-LOK two-piece handguard adds modern rigidity and accessory interface while keeping the profile slim, with short top rail sections positioned for flexible placement of accessories as desired.
Ergonomics are enhanced by the Mission First Tactical adjustable polymer buttstock mounted on an AR-style tube, giving a length of pull of approximately 12–15 in. The orange textured polymer pistol grip provides a positive grasp and visually distinguishes this build.
Sights are classic and straightforward: a front sight post paired with an adjustable tangent rear sight with range graduations. Controls include a manual safety selector with a bolt-hold-open notch on the safety lever. Capacity is up to 30+1, and this rifle includes one 30-round Magpul PMAG. Made in Serbia.
