The 92FS is a full-size 9mm from the 92 Series with a non-railed dust cover and the classic 92 (non-Vertec) grip profile. This example is U.S.-made with the Gallatin, TN rollmark and a matte black overall finish. The frame is aluminum alloy with black anodizing, paired to a black Bruniton-finished open-top slide.
Its operating system is hammer-fired, DA/SA, using a short-recoil locking-block design. Safety features include an ambidextrous slide-mounted safety/decocker and a firing pin block, plus the FS slide-retention device (enlarged/flat-headed hammer pin engaging a slide notch). The magazine release is located on the left side.
The 4.9 in steel barrel is chrome-lined, and the pistol is equipped with fixed 3-dot sights. Black checkered polymer grips with Beretta medallions provide the classic 92-series feel, and a lanyard loop is integrated at the heel of the grip.
Standard capacity is 15+1 with double-column magazines that have witness holes numbered 5/10/15. Two 15-round magazines are included, along with the factory case and manual. Manufacturer part number is J92F300M.
