The operating system is striker-fired, blowback, single-action, paired with a safety-blade trigger shoe, a trigger safety, and an internal striker block. A push-button magazine release supports straightforward reloads.
The aluminum-alloy slide wears a black hard-anodized finish and includes front and rear serrations plus a lightening window/port. The 4.5-inch alloy-steel barrel is threaded, expanding compatibility with appropriately threaded .22 LR devices. This example uses a non-T.O.R.O. slide with no optic cut.
The frame is a full-size black polymer unit with molded texturing and Taurus bull-logo panels. An integral Picatinny-style accessory rail on the dustcover supports common rail-mounted accessories.
