- Owner's manual
Introduced in 1989 and produced through 2010, the SP-10 is Remington’s gas-operated redesign of the Ithaca Mag-10 and remains one of the few factory semi-automatic 10-gauge shotguns. It was built specifically around 3 1/2 inch 10-gauge shells, a focus that defines the platform. RM-prefix serial formatting is typical for this model line.
The 30 inch barrel is equipped with a ventilated rib and a single front bead for clear sighting. It uses a screw-in choke system and comes with an Improved Modified choke installed. The barrel is threaded to accept the choke, and the 3 1/2 inch chamber is set up for magnum 10-gauge loads.
Its gas-operated, semi-automatic action helps manage the power of 10-gauge shells. The shotgun features a charging handle for a straightforward manual interface and a 2+1 capacity suited to the platform’s intended use.
Walnut furniture includes a pistol grip stock and matching fore-end, both with cut checkering for a solid hold. A ventilated recoil pad, matte-finished receiver, and sling swivel stud round out a practical, field-ready configuration. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches.
