This model is semi-automatic, internal hammer-fired, and single-action only. It uses a hybrid blowback/locked-breech operating system designed for the .22 WMR cartridge.
The construction combines a black polymer frame with steel barrel and upper components, capped by an injection-molded nylon outer slide shell. It includes square-pattern grip texturing, an ambidextrous manual safety, and an integral dustcover Picatinny-style rail for mounting accessories.
Sights are a fiber-optic three-dot set, with a green front and two orange rear dots for fast visual contrast. Designed circa 2010 and entering production in 2011, the PMR-30 traces lineage to the Grendel P30 and is part of a family that includes the CMR-30 carbine. Factory markings include PMR-30, KEL-TEC CNC INC COCOA FL USA, and .22 WMR on the chamber.
