This Springfield Armory Ronin EMP is a 3-inch, micro-size 9mm 1911 engineered specifically around the 9mm cartridge. It combines a forged carbon-steel slide and forged aluminum-alloy frame with a bushingless stainless bull barrel and dual captive recoil springs. The two-tone finish, quality sights, and compact dimensions make it a feature-rich, carry-size 1911 with the EMP architecture’s reduced grip circumference.

The Ronin EMP platform is purpose-built for 9mm, yielding a shorter action and reduced grip circumference compared to traditional 1911 dimensions. This example uses a forged carbon-steel slide over a forged aluminum-alloy frame for strength with reduced weight.
Its 3.0-inch, bushingless stainless bull barrel features a fully supported chamber, paired with dual captive recoil springs on a full-length guide rod to help manage slide velocity in the micro format.
The two-tone finish presents a hot-salt blued slide over a Satin Aluminum Cerakote frame. Slide details include rear cocking serrations only and a lowered, flared ejection port. A skeletonized commander-style hammer and a skeletonized trigger with lightening cuts complete the package.
Carry-focused sights consist of a red fiber-optic front in a dovetail and a Tactical Rack two-dot ledged rear. Controls include a left-side manual thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety with memory bump. Capacity is 9+1 using the included factory magazine, which is marked Made in Italy by Mec-Gar for Springfield Armory. The serial uses an EMP prefix, and the barrel hood is marked S.A. 9MM.
