What's Included
- Remington Model 799 bolt-action rifle chambered in .22 Hornet
- Installed two-piece scope bases
Made by Zastava and rollmarked as the Remington Model 799, this rifle represents the compact mini-Mauser pattern in a classic varmint cartridge. The import and service marking reads USSG – Rockledge, FL, aligning with the 2006–2008 production era and Serbian origin.
The 20-inch sporter-contour barrel is blued and finished with a recessed crown. There are no iron sights. The receiver is drilled and tapped, and two-piece scope bases are already installed to streamline mounting.
The action is a push-feed design with an M16-style extractor and a right-side two-position safety. This configuration offers controlled operation within the mini-Mauser platform while keeping handling straightforward and familiar.
The customized stock is a textured gray synthetic unit with molded grip and fore-end checkering for positive purchase. A Bell & Carlson recoil pad is fitted, and the length of pull measures 14.0 inches for a comfortable shoulder fit.
This example is currently set up as a single-shot due to the absent magazine. Chambered in .22 Hornet, it combines light, handy dimensions with a cartridge well-suited to small game and varmint roles.
