The Precision submodel uses an MDT-designed aluminum chassis with OD green polymer skins, an adjustable cheekpiece, and a spacer-based length of pull system set to 15.0 in. The M-LOK forend provides slot positions at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, and the grip is MDT-marked. It is compatible with AICS-pattern magazines and has a 10+1 capacity.
The 22 in heavy-contour barrel is carbon steel, free-floated, and button-rifled with a 1:8 twist to stabilize common 6.5 Creedmoor bullet weights. Threads are 5/8x24.
The bolt-action system includes a right-hand bolt with a large spherical bolt knob, Savage's floating bolt head, and the barrel-nut headspacing system. Controls include a tang safety and the AccuTrigger safety blade. The AccuTrigger is user-adjustable to tailor pull weight within its designed range.
A 20-MOA canted Picatinny scope rail is installed for mounting optics with additional elevation travel. The rifle is made in the United States.
