This Springfield Armory XD 3" Sub-Compact 9mm is the low-capacity 10-round configuration (XD9801) manufactured by HS Produkt in Croatia. The 3" Sub-Compact XD is built around a forged steel slide and a hammer-forged barrel, both treated with a Melonite finish for a uniform black appearance. The 3-inch barrel features a 1:10 twist. Rear cocking serrations aid slide manipulation, and the pistol uses a dual captive recoil spring with a full-length guide rod.
This striker-fired 9mm includes an ambidextrous magazine release and a suite of safety features: grip safety, trigger safety, and an internal striker block. It also provides a loaded-chamber indicator and a striker-status indicator on both the slide and system, delivering clear, at-a-glance status checks.
Sight picture comes from dovetailed white-dot front and rear sights in a 3-dot configuration. A single-slot dust-cover accessory rail is integrated into the polymer frame for mounting compatible accessories.
