The optics-ready slide is cut for mounting with the included M&P CORE multi-plate system and arrives installed with a cover plate. Forward and rear fish-scale serrations provide positive purchase for slide manipulations, and the Armornite black finish protects the stainless steel slide and barrel.
The compact polymer frame in matte black uses the aggressive M2.0 texture for control. Four interchangeable palmswell backstraps (S, M, ML, L) allow quick grip-size customization. A 3-slot Picatinny accessory rail on the dust cover supports light or laser attachment as needed.
The striker-fired system uses a flat-faced, hinged trigger with a trigger safety. Controls include an ambidextrous slide stop and reversible magazine release. This configuration omits an external manual thumb safety. A factory caution marking notes it is capable of firing with the magazine removed.
Steel 3-dot night sights are installed. The 4.125-inch barrel uses a 1:10 RH twist. Capacity is 15+1. Overall length is about 7.25 inches, and weight is about 28.8 oz per factory references. Made in the United States.
