Taurus PT 92 AF 9mm DA/SA Full-Size Pistol, 4.9 in Barrel, 17+1 Capacity, Blued/Black
This Brazil-made Taurus PT 92 AF stands out as the ambidextrous safety-only variant of the PT92 line, combining a DA/SA trigger, a full-size 4.9 inch barrel, and a 17+1 capacity. It features matching serial numbers on the frame, slide, and barrel, a non-railed dust cover in the earlier PT92 pattern, and clear import and maker markings. Its open-top slide and falling locking-block operating system reflect the model’s established design heritage.
The PT 92 AF variant uses a frame-mounted, ambidextrous manual safety (no decocker) with a DA/SA trigger and an exposed spur hammer, complemented by a firing pin block. Capacity is 17+1 with the included 17-round magazine.
The aluminum alloy frame wears a matte black finish and pairs with a blued black open-top slide with rear serrations. Ergonomics include a squared trigger guard with front serrations and black checkered synthetic grips with Taurus medallions.
The short-recoil, locked-breech system uses a Walther/Beretta-type falling locking block under an open-top slide. Sights are a fixed 3-dot set with a front blade single dot and a drift-adjustable 2-dot rear.
Markings include FORJAS TAURUS S.A. – MADE IN BRAZIL and the importer stamp TAURUS INT. MFG INC., MIAMI, FL. This example follows the earlier non-railed dust cover profile and has matching serial numbers on the frame, slide, and barrel.
