This Smith & Wesson M&P15 Optics Ready rifle is a straightforward, well-built AR-15 pattern carbine configured for easy customization. It features a flat-top, T-marked Picatinny upper rail and a railed gas block, a 16.5 inch 4140 steel barrel with a 1:9 twist and A2 birdcage flash suppressor, and robust 7075-T6 aluminum receivers with a hard-coat anodized finish. It accepts STANAG pattern magazines and includes a 30-round Magpul PMAG.

The M&P15 Optics Ready configuration provides a flat-top, T-marked Picatinny upper rail and a railed gas block for straightforward mounting of optics or backup sights. There are no factory sights installed, giving you a clean slate for your preferred setup.
The 16.5 inch barrel is made from 4140 steel with a 1:9 twist and is threaded at the muzzle, capped with an A2 birdcage flash suppressor. The carbine-length gas system and direct-impingement action deliver the familiar AR-15 handling and operation.
Receivers are 7075-T6 aluminum with a hard-coat anodized finish, and include a forward assist, ejection-port cover, and case deflector. Controls include a manual safety, and the rifle feeds from standard STANAG pattern magazines.
Furniture consists of a six-position collapsible stock with S&W medallion, an A2-style polymer pistol grip, and carbine-length two-piece polymer handguards. This setup keeps the carbine light and practical while leaving ample room for accessories.
Capacity is 30+1 with the included Magpul PMAG. The rifle is made in the United States and is marked MODEL M&P-15 on the receiver.
