This full-size 9mm features a DA/SA short-recoil action, an open-top slide with rear serrations, and factory white-dot sights with a fully adjustable rear. It is marked "TAURUS INT. MIAMI, FLA., MADE IN BRAZIL" and comes with two 15-round steel magazines.

The PT 99 AF pairs a full-length 5-inch barrel with a Beretta-type locking-block system for reliable cycling. The open-top slide design aids ejection and reduces the chance of stovepipes, while rear serrations provide a solid purchase for racking.
Its DA/SA short-recoil action, external spurred hammer, and left-side magazine release offer familiar, service-style controls. Safety is enhanced by an ambidextrous manual safety and a firing pin block.
Sight regulation is a standout feature: the pistol uses a tall fixed front blade with a white dot and a fully adjustable, two-dot rear sight with micrometer-style screws to fine-tune elevation and windage.
The aluminum-alloy frame and blued/black slide keep weight manageable without sacrificing durability. Black checkered polymer grip panels with Taurus medallions provide a stable, non-slip hold.
