Factory configuration centers on forged 7075-T6 aluminum upper and lower receivers with Type III hard-coat anodizing, M4 feed-ramp cuts, forward assist, ejection-port dust cover, and a brass deflector. The flat-top upper carries a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail for mounting as needed. This rifle accepts STANAG-pattern magazines and the lower receiver is roll-marked "AR-556"; "8500" denotes the catalog/MPN for this configuration.
The 16.1-inch cold hammer-forged chrome-moly steel barrel is a medium contour with a 1:8 RH twist to handle a broad range of 5.56 NATO loads. It is threaded and fitted with an A2 flash suppressor, and uses a carbine-length gas system for a familiar AR-15 shooting cycle.
Sighting equipment includes a fixed, taper-pinned A2-height front sight base with bayonet lug and a polymer flip-up rear sight. This durable front assembly aligns to standard A2 height, while the rear sight provides folding convenience.
Furniture is a two-piece ribbed polymer carbine-length handguard with a 6 o'clock accessory rail segment and delta ring. The polymer stock is a 6-position collapsible design on a carbine receiver extension with a sling loop, providing an adjustable length of pull from 10 to 13.25 inches. A textured polymer pistol grip completes the controls.
Two upgrades are already installed: a Magpul B.A.D. Lever for enhanced bolt catch manipulation and an aftermarket charging handle. Capacity is 30+1, and this rifle comes with both a 30-round and a 20-round magazine, with one identified as a Magpul PMAG 20 GEN M3.
