The SCAR 20S uses a semi-automatic, short-stroke gas piston system paired with an adjustable two-position gas regulator. Its 20-inch barrel is cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined, and heavy profile, capped with a three-prong flash hider on a threaded muzzle. The 1:12 twist supports a broad range of 7.62x51 NATO loads.
The monolithic extended upper receiver provides a continuous numbered 12 o'clock Picatinny rail, with additional rail sections at 3, 6, and 9 o'clock on the forend for accessories. The receiver is marked "SCAR 20S MULTI-CALIBER" and is finished in Flat Dark Earth to match the overall configuration.
Ergonomics are built around an adjustable stock with an adjustable cheekpiece and length-of-pull, set here at 13.0 inches. An ERGO overmolded pistol grip, left-side charging handle, and manual safety selector round out a control layout focused on stability and precision shooting.
This rifle is compatible with SCAR-H/17S pattern detachable magazines and has a stated capacity of 20+1. It includes two 20-round magazines and one 10-round magazine to cover a range of shooting and range requirements.
