This A400 Xtreme Plus is chambered for 2 3/4, 3, and 3 1/2 inch 12 gauge shells and carries a 4+1 capacity. The 28-inch barrel uses Beretta's HP tapered bore, with the bore dimension marked 18.6 mm, and it is fitted with a removable choke system. This shotgun is equipped with a Modified choke.
The stock is synthetic in black and incorporates the Beretta Kick-Off recoil reduction system and a MicroCore buttpad. Length of pull is 14.5 inches, and a sling attachment point is integrated into the stock. The synthetic fore-end pairs with a fore-end cap that has quick-grip knurling and a colored ring for easy handling.
Controls are set up for gloved or fast operation, including an oversized bolt handle and an enlarged bolt release. A cross-bolt safety is used. The ventilated rib features lightening ports, and sighting is straightforward with a red fiber-optic front bead.
Finished in matte black on the barrel and matte gray on the alloy receiver, this example carries crisp factory markings: "MADE IN ITALY – PATENTED" and "BERETTA – GARDONE V.T. – MADE IN ITALY." It is a clean, well-configured 2019 production gun built in Italy.
