The Model 629-2E Endurance Package is a transitional variant identifiable by its "M629-2E" yoke cut marking and late-1980s production. This example pairs that designation with classic N-frame stainless construction and a brushed/satin finish.
The 8 3/8-inch stainless barrel uses the standard non-full-underlug profile with a partial ejector-rod shroud and a serrated top rib. Sighting is handled by a ramped front with red/orange insert and an S&W micrometer-click adjustable rear blade.
It is a double-action/single-action revolver with a fluted six-shot stainless cylinder chambered in .44 Rem Magnum. Controls include a smooth-faced trigger and a wide checkered target-style hammer spur.
Aftermarket Pachmayr rubber grips are installed, providing a durable, replaceable grip option on this rare Endurance Package-marked 629-2E.
