The G19X uses Glock’s crossover formula: a compact-length G19 slide mated to a full-size G17 frame. This layout enhances control with the full-size grip while keeping the slide short for quick handling. It was developed for the U.S. MHS program and introduced as the first Glock with a factory-colored coyote nPVD slide finish, matched to a coyote polymer frame.
Accuracy and consistency are supported by the Glock Marksman Barrel and a striker-fired Safe Action system with a 5.8 trigger weight. The slide features rear serrations for confident manipulation, and the fixed steel 3-dot sight set includes a front dot and a rear two-dot unit.
The full-size polymer frame offers interchangeable backstraps to tailor grip size and includes ambidextrous slide stop levers for left- or right-handed use. A lanyard loop is integrated at the rear of the grip, and the dust cover carries a Glock accessory rail for lights or other rail-mounted equipment.
Capacity is 19+1 with the included extended magazines, and a 17-round magazine provides a flush-fit option. This pistol carries Austrian proof marks on the barrel hood and a grip marking reading "MADE IN AUSTRIA - GLOCK, INC., SMYRNA, GA." Matching serials are noted on the frame and barrel.
