Built at Izhmash in Russia, this Saiga-12 retains its factory proof and import markings, including the Izhmash triangular-arrow logo, "MADE IN RUSSIA BY IZH-MASH," "САЙГА-12," "SAIGA-12," and "12/76 18,3," along with the Legion USA Inc., Hallandale Beach, FL import mark. The "12/76 18,3" stamp denotes its 3-inch chamber and 18.3 mm bore.
The shotgun uses a semi-automatic, long-stroke gas piston system with a rotating bolt and a two-position adjustable gas regulator. This configuration is known for dependable cycling across a range of 12-gauge loads when the regulator is set appropriately.
It is outfitted with an extended aluminum quad-Picatinny handguard and an aftermarket railed top-cover assembly, providing top rail sections on the cover and handguard; these are separate and do not form a monolithic/continuous top rail.
The rear end is updated with a skeletonized metal fixed buttstock featuring a textured metal buttplate and a 12.5-inch length of pull. A black textured polymer pistol grip is installed for positive hand purchase.
