Built by Smith & Wesson’s Performance Center, this M&P 40 M2.0 C.O.R.E. Ported pairs a 5-inch ported barrel with a windowed, long slide featuring lightening cuts. The porting is visible through the slide windows and the overall package emphasizes fast sight indexing and control.
The factory C.O.R.E. optics plate system is included, allowing direct mounting of compatible red dots using the supplied adapter plates and hardware. Tall iron sights provide a clear sight picture and co-witness capability with mounted optics, with a tall white-dot front and a tall rear notch. Note: the included screw and plate kit bag is labeled “9mm only” (S&W p/n 3011897).
Controls and ergonomics are set up for versatility, with ambidextrous slide stop levers and a reversible magazine release. The M2.0 aggressive grip texture and interchangeable palm-swell backstraps let the shooter tailor the fit, while the hinged trigger and integrated trigger safety support consistent operation.
This full-size .40 S&W has a 15+1 capacity and comes with two factory 15-round magazines. A three-slot Picatinny accessory rail supports common lights or lasers. The slide and frame are finished in black, the frame is polymer, and the pistol is marked "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MA U.S.A." and made in the USA.
