The Daniel Defense DDM4 V7 SLW is the lightweight variant of the V7 series, built around a 14.5 inch cold hammer forged 4150 CMV barrel that is pinned and welded to a three-prong flash suppressor for a 16.1 inch legal barrel length. It pairs a mid-length gas system with a free-float DD4 13.5 M-LOK handguard and features Daniel Defense's ambidextrous charging handle. With an approximate unloaded weight of 5.9 lb and overall length of about 31.5–34.75 inches, it offers a balanced, streamlined AR-15 configuration made in the USA.

This SLW configuration centers on a lightweight, cold hammer forged 4150 CMV barrel with a chrome-lined bore and phosphate exterior. The 14.5 inch barrel is permanently pinned and welded to a three-prong flash suppressor for a 16.1 inch overall barrel length, and uses a 1:7 RH twist suited to a wide range of 5.56mm NATO loads.
The rifle runs a mid-length gas system with a low-profile gas block for smooth operation. Its Daniel Defense DD4 13.5 M-LOK free-float handguard is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and provides a continuous, T-marked Picatinny top rail with integrated QD sling sockets, offering solid mounting real estate while keeping weight down.
Upper and lower receivers are 7075-T6 aluminum with a durable black hardcoat anodized finish and M4 feed ramps. The platform is AR-15 pattern with a semi-automatic, direct impingement action. The included Daniel Defense ambidextrous charging handle supports flexible manipulation from either side.
Furniture includes an adjustable stock with a QD sling socket and a Daniel Defense textured polymer pistol grip. Length of pull measures approximately 10.5 inches. Overall unloaded weight is about 5.9 lb, with an overall length of roughly 31.5–34.75 inches. Capacity is 32+1 with the included magazine.
