The 18 inch barrel is stamped "5.56 NATO 1/7" and carries Colt’s 13629 CAGE code and MP proof, indicating magnetic particle inspection and proof testing. It is threaded and fitted with an A2-pattern flash suppressor. The 1:7 twist supports a broad range of 5.56 NATO bullet weights.
The flat-top upper features a T-marked Picatinny rail from T4 to T12 for precise accessory placement. Standard AR controls and protections are present, including the forward assist, brass deflector, and ejection-port dust cover. The system is gas-operated with direct impingement.
Sighting is handled by a fixed A-frame front sight base paired with a Magpul MBUS flip-up rear sight. The carbine-length, slotted polymer handguard and installed polymer vertical foregrip provide a familiar, durable interface.
The lower receiver is marked "CARBINE / CAL. 5.56 MM" with the Colt prancing pony and includes a modern 2D data-matrix marking. The selector is marked SAFE/FIRE. Magpul furniture includes an adjustable, collapsible stock and a polymer pistol grip. The rifle uses a STANAG magazine interface and ships with a 40-round PMAG, providing 40+1 capacity.
