The M1911 A1-FS Tactical is a steel-frame, single-action 1911 built on the classic Government platform. It is chambered in .45 ACP with an 8+1 capacity and uses standard single-stack 1911 magazines. The frame is marked "M1911 A1 – FS," and the barrel hood is marked "CAL. 45 ACP."
Slide enhancements support reliable function and practical handling. The Tactical configuration includes a lowered and flared ejection port, rear vertical cocking serrations, and fixed, dovetailed sights with a low-profile rear and dovetailed front.
Fire-control features include a skeletonized, lightened three-hole trigger and a skeletonized Commander-style hammer. The pistol retains the expected 1911 safeties: a manual thumb safety and a grip safety.
Ergonomics are straightforward and purpose-driven. It wears black checkered synthetic grip panels with RIA medallions, a smooth front strap, and a flat, checkered mainspring housing.
Origin and markings are clearly identified. The pistol is made in the Philippines and bears APINTL – Pahrump NV, Philippines import marks.
