Clear slide markings read "RO ELITE" and "CHAMPION CAL 9MM." It comes with five 9-round magazines, a Springfield Armory soft case, and the original manual.

The Champion-size 4-inch configuration uses a stainless, match-grade, bushingless coned barrel paired with a captive flat-wire recoil system for a compact, carryable 1911 setup. The lowered and relieved ejection port and dovetailed sights are configured for reliable function and easy sight replacement if needed.
The slide is forged steel over a forged aluminum-alloy frame, both wearing Springfield's Black-T finish for corrosion resistance and durability. Thin gray/black textured G10 grip panels and a checkered mainspring housing provide a positive hold while keeping the profile slim.
Controls include ambidextrous thumb safeties and a beavertail grip safety with a memory pad. The long, Gen 2 skeletonized trigger and skeletonized Commander-style hammer round out the Range Officer Elite feature set. Rear slide serrations aid manipulation.
Sighting is fast and clear with a red fiber-optic front and a low-profile, tactical-ledge white-dot rear.
