It comes with three 30-round magazines and an installed vertical foregrip, adding practical value right out of the box.

The Sport II OR configuration features a flat-top, T-marked Picatinny receiver rail and a railed gas block, providing a clean, optics-ready setup with no fixed sights. A forward assist, ejection port dust cover, and brass deflector are included, and the receiver carries the S&W crest with Springfield, MA, USA markings and an M&P 15 magwell roll mark.
The 16 in 4140 carbon steel barrel is nitrided for surface hardness and corrosion resistance, and cuts a 1:9 RH twist suited to a wide range of 5.56 NATO loads. The barrel is threaded and fitted with an A2-style birdcage flash suppressor.
This rifle uses a semi-automatic, direct impingement operating system with a carbine-length gas system. It is built on a 7075 aluminum receiver set with a hard-coat black anodized finish.
Furniture includes a two-piece polymer carbine-length handguard, an A2-type polymer pistol grip, and an M4-type 6-position adjustable stock with a checkered buttplate. Length of pull adjusts from 10.5 to 13.5 inches. A vertical foregrip is installed on the rifle.
Capacity is 30+1. Three 30-round magazines are included, with at least one Magpul PMAG featuring a window. The rifle is finished in black and manufactured in the United States.
