What's Included
- Colt King Cobra .357 Mag. revolver
The King Cobra’s first-generation, pre-Enhanced configuration is identifiable by its undrilled topstrap and V-frame foundation, aligning it with Colt’s Mark V–derived action. As a model introduced in stainless first, this example represents a key chapter in the snake gun family’s development.
Construction is all stainless with a bright-polished finish across the frame, cylinder, and 4-inch barrel. The heavy barrel features a full underlug, a shrouded ejector rod, and a solid rib, giving it a distinctive profile and purposeful weight.
The revolver operates in double-action/single-action and incorporates a transfer-bar safety. It uses a smooth-faced trigger and an exposed hammer with a checkered spur, paired with a six-round cylinder in .357 Magnum.
Sighting is handled by adjustable iron sights, with a ramped front wearing a colored (orange/red) insert for visibility and an adjustable rear for zeroing. The full-size frame is fitted with black rubber wraparound grips featuring finger grooves and gold Colt medallions.
Grip-frame geometry is shared with the Trooper Mk V and Anaconda, enabling stock interchangeability across those models. Built in the United States in 1988, this King Cobra brings together stainless durability, hallmark snake gun styling, and the desirable early V-frame configuration.
