This Belgian-made FN Herstal SCAR 17S is a 7.62x51 NATO, short-stroke gas piston rifle imported by FNH USA. It features a monolithic aluminum upper with a continuous Picatinny top rail, a 16" threaded steel barrel with a 1:12 twist, and factory folding iron sights. This example includes quality installed components with the original factory parts retained, offering a turnkey setup grounded in proven SCAR 17S features.
Built in Belgium and marked accordingly, this SCAR 17S uses a left-side reciprocating charging handle with right-side ejection. The FN oval logo appears on the lower receiver, and the import mark reads FNH USA Fredericksburg, VA. The rifle features black receivers and stock paired with a matte gray barrel and a lighter tan/FDE gas block, plus a silver-tone FN muzzle brake, and combines an aluminum upper with a polymer lower for strength and durability.
The 16" steel barrel is threaded and marked 7.62x51 1:12, pairing a NATO chambering with a twist rate suited to common 7.62x51/.308 Win projectiles. The short-stroke gas piston system supports reliable operation, and the included 20-round magazine sets the standard 20+1 capacity.
Ergonomics are anchored by the SCAR-pattern folding, telescoping stock with a hinge and numbered length-of-pull positions 1–6, plus a textured buttpad. The continuous Picatinny top rail integrates with side and bottom accessory rails for easy setup of lights, grips, or other rail-mounted equipment. Factory folding sights include a front sight and a rear aperture sight with a numbered elevation drum.
This rifle arrives with several installed upgrades and the original parts. A Geissele trigger is installed, with the factory trigger included. An Ergo pistol grip is installed, with the factory grip included. An aftermarket charging handle is installed, with the factory handle included. A Blue Force Gear sling and an angled foregrip are installed.

Overall Condition: Very good condition, showing only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use.
Bore Overall Condition: Excellent - Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Bore Rifling: Excellent Rifling - Sharp lands and grooves.
Specific Condition Notes: The exterior shows a few minor, superficial scratches and small blemishes consistent with light handling.
