The G27 Gen 3 is Glock’s subcompact .40 S&W, offering a short 3.43 in barrel, 6.29 in overall length, 4.17 in height, and 1.18 in width. Unloaded weight is 19.75 oz (no magazine), keeping carry weight low while retaining a 9+1 capacity.
It runs a striker-fired action with Glock’s integrated safety system: trigger safety, firing pin safety, and drop safety. Controls include a standard, left-side-only magazine release. The slide uses rear serrations only and a rounded muzzle profile.
The barrel uses Glock’s polygonal rifling with a right-hand twist, contributing to the excellent bore condition noted. This pistol accepts larger .40-caliber Glock magazines from related models, adding flexibility for range use or backup carry magazines.
Factory sights are Glock polymer: a white-dot front and white-outline U-notch rear. The polymer frame has a pebble texture and Gen 3 finger grooves for a secure hold. Markings include Austrian proof marks on the barrel hood and the MADE IN AUSTRIA | GLOCK, INC., SMYRNA, GA. rollmarking.
